This is the sandwichon recipe great for parties they use it a lot here for like baby showers or bday parties etc.. RECIPE-- you need to get sandwich bread your choice- white or wheat or mix it up looks beautiful when is different colors , make sure you cut the edges. serving size is 1/2 a sandwich per person so if you make it 5 slices long you would be serving 10 people- the layers of bread including the base are about 4 basic layers are #1- chicken salad< #2- mixture of cheddar cheese and pimiento with a little milk you blend to a spreadable nice and smooth consistency. #3- ham and cream cheese with dill pickles also blended to smooth consistency to where you can spread on the bread> #4- (the frosting) cream cheese 1 8oz pkg. add coolwhip about just to sweeten it a little and either pineapple juice or the vinegar from pickled jalapenos.
DIRECTIONS= put one layer of bread-- you can do it rectangular or square depending on how you want to display it.. on top of the base you will spread the #1 chicken salad make sure is nice layer don't be skimpy lol then put another layer of bread on top of that and spread the #2 yellow cheese spread , follow by putting another layer of bread on top. than you add #3 the ham ( pate ) and spread also top with the last layer of bread.
you than will have a tower of layers.. now you are ready to spread the cream cheese #4 mixture all around the cake you just made.. decorate with pineapples or your choice of toppings ( pecans etc.) refrigerate over night and you will love love love it!~!!
Usually served along with potato chips on the side and a salad of your choice..
my chicken salad- the chicken salad is up to you how you want to do it.. I basically do chicken breast and put them on my processor than i add mayonnaise, little bit of chopped olives , some celery very tiny and a little of pineapple __ i cut everything very thin because i like to have a consistent texture to the " cake"
